Amanda (Pogach) Panaccione
Biography
Amanda Panaccione, owner and teacher of AP Music Studios, began teaching in 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee, and relocated her studio to New Haven, Connecticut in 2012. In November 2019, Amanda moved to Melbourne, Florida, where she continues to teach vocal technique for singing and speaking, beginning piano, and musical-skills to students in person at her studio as well as internationally via Skype. She has helped many students win competitions and enjoy successful professional careers in the music industry, as well as many other professions that require healthy speaking (including acting, teaching, professional speaking, and more). She helps each student achieve his or her goals, regardless of genre, whether striving for a professional career or learning for fun or lifestyle purposes, meanwhile encouraging all to truly enjoy and embrace the learning process. Amanda develops specialized fun and engaging lesson plans for children's voice and piano lessons.
Amanda is a critically acclaimed lyric-coloratura soprano, originally from Munster, Indiana. She began performing professionally in 2005 and received her Bachelor and Master of Music from Vanderbilt and Belmont, respectively. During her studies, she participated in Songfest and Intermezzo Opera Festival, and also performed at the Sydney Conservatorium in Australia and American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria. During graduate school, she was recognized by Nashville Opera and performed with them as a recipient of the Nashville Opera Fellowship Award.
Since graduating, Amanda has performed in productions, recitals, and concerts across the US and abroad including lead roles with Indianapolis Opera, Nashville Opera, Intimate Opera of Indianapolis, New York Lyric Opera Theatre, East Coast Chamber Opera, International Vocal Arts Institute in NYC, Chicago Summer Opera, and Angels Vocal Art in LA. Some of her favorite roles and scenes performed have been Cunegonde in Candide, Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Norina in Don Pasquale, Königin der Nacht, Erste Dame, and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte¸ Dew Fairy in Hansel und Gretel, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Frasquita in Carmen, Morgana in Alcina, Amy in Little Women, Fairy Princess and Jack’s Mom in Jack and the Beanstalk, Miss Silverpeal in The Impresario, Dortchen in Brothers Grimm, and Baby Doe in The Ballad of Baby Doe. She has also enjoyed premiering works written by modern composers. Although opera is her main passion, Amanda is a versatile performer and also relishes opportunities to perform in musicals and sing various genres of music for concerts and events.
